Cate Blouke is a writer and teacher based in Austin, Texas. In addition to her academic writing that focuses on performance, identity politics, and humor, Cate has been a theatre critic for the Austin American-Statesman since 2010. Finishing up her PhD at the University of Texas, Cate teaches courses on literature and theater, visual rhetoric, and writing in digital environments.
