The East Austin Studio Tour is arguably the city’s largest art event when you add up the number of participating artists, the audience and the footprint of the two-weekend self-guided free tour.
Texas by the numbers invariably proves irresistible. So does the Texas Biennial, back in its sixth iteration after a hiatus, on view through Nov. 11 at 211 E Alpine Rd.
“We always felt that this was a clubhouse for a group of friends who felt like we were a little bit off,” he said. “We still feel a little off and we still want to be that clubhouse, that space for people like us who feel a little off. We have to find another way to do that now.”
