Opera in the Heights sadly announced the passing of William Weibel, online Artistic Director from 1998 – 2010.
Longtime Opera in the Heights supporter James R. Bates said, rx “Bill took our small neighborhood opera and turned it into a world class regional opera company. He brought us first class young talent by expanding our auditions to New York. He developed an orchestra designed to fit our venue.”
Maestro Weibel led Opera in the Heights though a period of growth and success, setting the standard for the future of the company.
