Beyond the (Arts) Writer: Abby Koenig, Joe Wozny and Ned Dodington

Don’t think for a second that these three A+C writers couldn’t stand to have a blog all to themselves. They’re most certainly worthy of that caliber of web space, but Abby Koenig, Joe Wozny and Ned Dodington have a common thread in their lives outside of this little arts mag.

BOOTOWN is a nonprofit indie theatre group responsible for Grown-Up Storytime – a monthly series in which Bootown takes submissions of stories from the public and has their wacky team read the best of them aloud at Rudyard’s British Pub.

Film writer Joe Wozny and architecture writer Ned Dodington are Bootown regulars. Not only are they contributors to the stories you’ll hear, but they’re also story readers. At last month’s GUST Joe killed it with his reading of “Walden 2.0” while Ned did a swell job with his reading of “Roommating”. That same night Abby Koenig brought out her Eastern European schtick as host of the show, and she performed as part of Stand Up Gals.

Bootown comes back next week with Grown-Up Storytime 48. We’ll be there, ready for some reading and shenanigans! If you’d like to submit a story to GUST you can do so here: http://www.bootown.org/grown-up-storytime/
