Harth-Bedoya Adds More Duties

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra has announced that Music Director Miguel Harth-Bedoya has been appointed Chief Conductor of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra beginning in September 2013. In addition to maintaining his full schedule in Fort Worth, cialis he will conduct the Norwegian orchestra for a minimum of six weeks per year.

Mr. Harth-Bedoya first conducted the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in November 2010 with Renée Fleming as soloist.  “My musical collaboration with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra was exciting and powerful from the start,” he said. “I was very impressed by the superior talent of the orchestra musicians and the wide range of musical interest and ability of the orchestra as a whole. … I knew right away that the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and I were a great match. I am thrilled to begin this partnership.”

Born in Peru and now a U.S. citizen, Miguel Harth-Bedoya is in his 12th season as music director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. He has also been music director of the Auckland Philharmonia and the Eugene Symphony, and is a frequent guest conductor with major American orchestras such as the Atlanta Symphony, Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
